Prunotto Mompertone 2008
Prunotto Mompertone is a beautifully balanced, medium-bodied wine full of dark berries with touches of pepper and chocolate.
Prunotto is a well respected wine producer in the Piedmont region of Italy, now owned by the Antinori wine family and known for its wonderful Barolos and Barberescos. Mompertone is a blend of Barbera and Syrah sourced from a vineyard in the Monferrato region and carries the Monferrato DOC designation.
This wine went perfectly with a rack of lamb.
